3rd Annual Canadian Urban Music Conference – Oct 11/2014 at 10:00am

3rd Annual Canadian Urban Music Conference – Oct 11/2014 at 10:00am

Now in its 3rd year, The Canadian Urban Music Conference is a celebration of a new generation of Canadian talent and powerful industry leaders on the cutting edge of city-inspired genres of music. Canadian Urban Music is unique in that it includes Hip hop, R&B, Pop, Reggae, Soca and African popular music. This year, the conference is presented by G98.7FM|The Way We Groove and has found a new home at The Toronto Reference Library’s Bram and Bluma Appel Salon.

Music Nation Foundation’s (MNF) vision is to provide education about the music industry to the Canadian Urban Music Community with a current focus on the Greater Toronto area, and to promote and showcase Canadian Hip Hop, RnB, Pop Reggae, Soca and African pop performers to the world. The goal of MNF, is to provide opportunities to network, strengthen business ties, learn and focus on genre specific issues in a communal atmosphere which is often lost in environments not focused on the issues faced by these genres. In addition, our seminars foster an environment that invites learning and growth through education and outreach. We support the development of artistic talent and the local arts and performance infrastructure.

The annual Canadian Urban Music Conference (CUMC), a brainchild of MNF, is Canada’s first city-style music conference with intimate and interactive seminars, A&R feedback sessions, VIP events and live concerts for cutting-edge music including Hip hop, R&B, Pop, Reggae, Soca and African popular music . It takes place in the fall of each year, at some of the most distinguished venues across the City of Toronto.  It provides music professionals with the tools to create, communicate and participate in this global multi-billion dollar music industry. It consists of a series of intimate and interactive workshops, A&R meetings, live concerts networking lunches and private VIP cocktail events.

CUMC is committed to giving professionals a competitive edge and a truly revolutionary way to Network… Learn… and do Business.
