After 19 years in the industry Classified finally found his mainstream success. After the release of his self titled album people have finally recognized who Class is. In 2009 Class found his first scent of mainstream success with his hit “Oh… Canada.” This song was his first to be certified platinum.
After 2013 he has gotten more popular then ever. The album debut at #1 on the Canadian albums chart. After that his mega hit “Inner Ninja feat. David Myles” hit #5 on the Canadian top 100. This was class’ top ten hit on the chart. He also earned the 2013 Juno for best rap recording for Inner Ninja. The song was also certified 4x platinum in digital downloads. The other single off the album titled “3 foot tall” was also certified platinum. In that year he also got signed to Atlantic Records.
In 2014 Classified also co hosted the 2014 Juno awards. He then released a hit single titled Higher featuring fellow Atlantic Records rapper B.O.B. Class also helped launch and produce Mike Boyd’s (his brother) album in May of this year. Class is a busy man who also owns his own record label Halflife records. He is helping to shape the new face of Canadian Hip Hop.
