Gadda – Bronze EP

If you haven’t heard of Gadda yet, it’s worth mentioning that his single “Caravan” from his debut EP “Bronze”, created in his studio-bedroom and self-released by the way, was listed as one of the 10 best songs of June by ChartAttack and rightfully so.  The first release of a trilogy, Gadda is slowly but surely making a name for himself in his hometown of Toronto with his unique, refreshing blend of downtempo R&B and dreamy, chill, hip hop ambiance. It is hard to push this artist into a singular genre as this EP demonstrates a smorgasbord of various sounds and influences. The fifth track “In The Shell” served as the first video release for Gadda and I’m sure “Caravan” is next in line. If you’re a fan of artists like Frank Ocean and the Weeknd’s pre-50 Shades blow-up, you’ll definitely vibe to this. Don’t sleep on this artist, expect big things from Gadda.
