Jazz Cartier Signs Major Deal With Capitol Records

Jazz Cartier is ready to take his career to another level. After pulling off a major win at the Juno Awards for best rap record of the year, Cartier has reportedly inked a deal with Capitol Records.

On Tuesday, Capitol praised their latest signee on Twitter: “Fresh off his 2017 @TheJUNOAwards win for Rap Recording of the Year, welcome @JazzCartier to the #CapitolFamily.” Billboard reached out to the label for comment.

Last year, Cartier ascended the rap ladder with his album Hotel Paranoia. His sophomore project boasted high-caliber tracks including “Red Alert,” “Black and Misguided” and his ambitious cut “100 Roses.”

After a strong 2016, the Toronto rapper returned in January with his bouncy single “Tempted.” Cartier kicked off his North American tour last month at SXSW. The trek will continue through the summer in notable cities including New York, Washington, D.C., Miami and Los Angeles.
