This is way more than just another track, this holds some serious weight. Toronto lost a real talent last weekend, rapper Redway was among the three killed in a car crash on August 1st. If you’re familiar with the Toronto GTA rap scene you would of heard of Redway, either from a track or from another artist speaking on how influential he was to them. Amongst those artists, up and coming Mississauga rapper John River had a close relationship with Redway, which is why the loss hit him hard. In order to salute the rapper one last time, River linked up with producer FrancisGotHeat to create a tribute track. River leaves it all on the beat, holding nothing back. Check out the track below. Also, there will be a Candlelight Vigil for the fallen rapper on August 12, at Celebration Square in Mississauga, be sure to show up and show love for Redway.
