Maestro Fresh Wes – COMPOSITIONS Vol. 1 ( EP )

Toronto’s very own and without question a Canadian rap elder, Maestro Fresh Wes puts the Canadian rap scene on notice with his newly released EP, “Compositions Vol. 1”. The EP features 7 fully loaded tracks that are sure to have you vibing to the entire project. Maestro kept it local and created fire without outsourcing to our southern neighbours for features or productions; the whole thing features well-renowned artists delivering quality additions to the tape, and local producers that cook up nothing but fire.

Maestro kicks the tape off dropping a humorous story rap schooling a young man, “I Know Your Mom”. The second track, “Underestimated” features JD Era spitting and JRDN with the vocals, kicking an uplifting motivational vibe. Maestro rides off the Black Lives Matter movement on the third track, “I Can’t Breathe”, featuring King Reign. Forth track has a smooth radio vibe to it, “This is My Universe” with vocals delivered by the Rezza Bros. The fifth track, “Born in Toronto” is without a question a certified Toronto banger, Maestro and Rich Kidd tear the beat apart. Sixth track bumps hard as well, Rich Kidd works his magic on I Know Your Mom and delivers a remix changing up the beat completely. The last track is pretty hard as well, featuring beat boxer, Scott Jackson “Real Ain’t Real”.

Every track bumps thanks to the 4 producers, Andrew “Triple A”, Tone Mason, Rezza Bros., and Rich Kidd. The EP is heavy hitting and definitely worth the listen. It’s available for download on, iTunes, Spotify, RDIO Canada, and Google Play. Maestro also uploaded it to Youtube in order for people to stream it for free.
