Maural Code is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. He’s been quietly working on his music, producing high quality material until he’s ready to unleash it to the world. His sound has an underground feel with strong lyricism. He’s able to paint a picture with his music, telling stories over fire instrumentals. Although he’s new to the scene, you can bet he’s here to stay.
Maraul Code recently dropped his album “Scorpio Flows EP” and this project is a banger. If you’ve never heard it yet, you’re in for a surprise. The EP has something for everyone, showing a balance and versatility in his music. He has something to turn up to, something for other up and coming rappers who can relate to what he’s doing and even music about relationships. There are many noteworthy tracks from the album. Find A Way featuring Jessica Digos is about consistently staying on your grind and you’ll always find a way in the end. Falling is a story-telling track and pushing yourself forward and getting up no matter how many times you fall. Look Up is probably his best track on this whole project. Maurel Code is a beast over this fire instrumental, he goes hard from the start to finish on it. All the songs produced by Mnstrm, with the exception of “I Remember” which is produced by P. Swazy.
