Peter Jackson is back with a more emotional track, “I Can’t Say Goodbye – RIP Brooklyn”. The track was released yesterday and has already started growing in popularity, especially amongst those that it effects. The track was dedicated to Peter Jackson’s close friend and influential Winnipeg rapper, Jamie Prefontaine who also went by the stage name Brooklyn. The artist passed away around a month ago and after taking some time to mourn the loss, Peter Jackson felt he was obligated to release this track, he is quoted saying, “After spending the weekend in my brothers hometown with our people I felt like I needed to drop this record for closure within myself. I really miss you my brother, I truly couldn’t handle the feelings and emotions I was going threw at points in your city with out seeing you. I know what I need to do now & I understand more then ever right now. RIP Brooklyn”. In the track you can hear the pain in his voice. Check out the extremely sentimental track below.
