Marcus Hancock a.k.a. Soncier “The Hero of Hip Hop” is a 26 year old American hip hop artist from the DC/Maryland area. He known for his self conscience music with a positive message, aggressively delivered. He is confident emcee with controversial lyrics and possesses showmanship abilities. Soncier is a young entrepreneur and is the CEO of F.Y.D Entertainment LLC & Leader of Marvel Club, Activist for nonprofit Group Willrap4food Inc. His career started back in 2006 with the release of his first album “As Real As It Gets” and quickly garnered a buzz in the DC/Maryland/Virginia also known as the DMV. He has performed all over the area, performing at talent showcases, local colleges, Open Mic’s and nightclubs. With a growing fan base, he decided to release his second album, The Big Boom. It was a huge success, it ranked in the top 20 on MTV’s Ourstage competition for the Break-Out artist in 2009. From the release of his second album until 2012 he has made major moves from signing a distribution deal with Def Jam Recordings, receiving radio play on WKYS 93.9 and his 2012 single “All That” was featured on Shade 45, hosted by MTV personality Sway.
Soncier is currently signed to DLH Media Group, a Full-Service Entertainment/Development company that focuses on providing artists the proper tools and knowledge to excel in the Entertainment Industry. DLH Media Group has assisted many artists associated with Universal Music Group, Maybach Music Group, MTV, B.E.T, VH1 and many others. In April 2014 Soncier founded F.Y.D (Follow Your Destiny) Entertainment LLC and signed himself as the first act on the company. He released a mixtape in 2013 called D.A.R.E.
