One of Toronto’s biggest music festivals “Veld” located in Downsview Park, was an upbeat weekend for fellow Torontians. During August 5th-6th, Veld Music Festival hosted over 40,000 attendees with a diverse music line-up of artists. For the rap scene, headliners Future, Migos, A$AP Ferg, Tory Lanez, and French Montana (Lil Uzi was unable to attend) made the crowd wild from the main stage to the Remy Martin Stage. The edm scene had the crowd jumping with performances by Major Lazer, Tiesto, Zedd, W&W, and Tchami who were just to name a few.
The August 5th-6th weekend had loads of excitement and great music. Toronto’s very own Dzeko & Tory Lanez played killer sets while the Migos trio, DJ’s Tiesto and Zedd lit the stage with a thrilling crowd. What are my thoughts on the festival, well in my opinion the past year was a great line up for the edm scene but would of been outstanding if Travis Scott was able to attend. With that being said, this year’s line up was a great diversity with the edm and rap artists.
My favourites were by Tory Lanez, Zedd, W&W, 3LAU, Getter, Migos and A$AP Ferg as the vibes of each set were unreal and by far the most entertaining for fans and photographers at the event. The ability to watch talented artist from our home soil such as Dzeko, Loud Luxury, Tory Lanez was a great addition as the festival. It showed all of us that Canada has a lot of upcoming talent and many have made it successful in the music industry.
