King Reign – Chemical Romance (Music Video)

Toronto ON – The struggle is real. King Reign releases his new music video called Chemical Romance speaks out on some realness, real talk. Living in a larger city you see this a lot in everyday life, a young impressionable girl who gets caught up in the wrong crowd and soon is hooked on sex, money and drugs and don’t realize until it’s far far too late… “She never had a chance” seems to be a prevalent thing said in this track, which looking into many females lives I know and have known, is a resonating chord that hits home. It’s truly a destructive life pattern, a chemical romance of confusion and addiction that gets the best of us that are running away from something while trying to run towards a better tomorrow. This track is definitely a video for you to check out and take in if you’ve ever watched someone you know fall into selling themselves, or selling themselves short and masking the feelings of inadequacy with a substance(s). The production aspect, very crisp vocals, very relaxed and laid back beat produced by DJ Agile. Great for lighting up a smoke and leaning back reflecting on life. Lyrical content as said earlier lies with some heavy rooted realness that I believe a lot of people, especially in a city setting can relate to, we’ve all seen it, we all know these situations. I would like to hear more from King Reign in the near future as I believe the artistry of this video and intellectual story telling ability he holds in his words bares sheer potential on the Canadian Hip Hop scene of relevance. Be sure to check this out below.
