Traverse is a Hamilton rapper and DJ, coming up in the Canadian hip hop scene and people need to pay attention. This is a big project and should he treated like a masterpeice. He left his city for a year to work in New York for this project and is released as a collaborative album entirely produced by hip hop legend Ski Beatz. If you’re into real hip hop, I’m sure you’ve heard of him. Ski Beatz is a heavyweight hip hop producer and a colleague of Biggie Smalls, and has helped created many classics tracks for; Jay Z (Reasonalble Doubt), AZ, Lil’ Kim, Fat Joe, Proof (R.I.P.), Curren$y and more. Traverse has many credentials under his belt as well. He has DJ’d at sold out shows for artists such as; Fabolous, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Mobb Deep and Freeway. After mastering his performance as a DJ, he decided to take it to another level and followed his passion to rap. Some of his musical highlight is, headlining for a Fat Joe concert (presented by Grindtography) and becoming a 2x Hamilton Music Award Nominee. It’s a big accomplishment that a lot of local artists hasn’t attained yet. His music style sounds like the golden era hip-hop, true school and vintage feel, it could be because of his inspiration from Rakim, Slick Rick, 2pac, Nas and KRS-One.
